My Top 5 Scary Movies For Halloween

Pumpkin Collection

Hi Everyone!

As Halloween is approaching I thought that I would put together my top 5 list of scary movies.
They may not be everybody's choice but then I do have some strange tastes (according to my daughter).

1. Frankenstein

I love Mary Shelly's story of Dr Frankenstein and his creation. For me, really any version will do but I have to say that the Robert De Niro version is so well made and his monster is so believable that you really do begin to feel sorry for him.

2. The Omen

Who doesn't love  this movie? Good versus evil and little Damien meek and mild. Well the devil really. Full of moments of suspense and tense music. This movie never gets old.

3. Final Destination Movies

A little out of place in a scary movie list but I really like these movies. More so because I actually find them funny. I know they are not meant to be but somehow I just don't find them scary.

4.Dracula

For me there is and only ever will be one Dracula and that is the great, late, Christopher Lee. His version goes back to the old days of Hammer Horror. He makes the character very scary especially when he widens his eyes and flaps his cape in typical Dracula fashion. Simply excellent.

 5 .Theatre of Blood

Gosh this movie, even though it was made in the 70's, it is still blood curdling and chilling. Vincent Price plays an actor who gets his revenge on the critics who bad mouthed him. His various ways of killing them are ingenious and frightening. Brilliant for the time and for me is timeless.

Well there we have it that's my top five, maybe not conventional or typical but I love them.

Happy Halloween
