Hi everyone, I hope you enjoyed my first post which was showing you all how I made my daughter's dog, Molly a waterproof coat for the winter. (Which I can't wait for her to wear!)
This time I want to share with you a really effective all natural eye cleanser. Pea (my daughter) uses it especially when she hasn't taken her make up off the night before - you can see her post about this here.
All of the ingredients used have benefits for the skin. Below I have put together a list of these benefits and how they can help you and your skin.
Aloe Vera: is a member of the cactus family and is good for flaky, dry skin. It also can be used to sooth the problem of eczema.(Note: the stem can be broken off the plant and it's juice squeezed directly onto the skin)
Sweet Almond Oil: this almond oil contains the vitamins A, B and E, all of which are good for the skin. It also helps to maintain moisture levels in the skin, relieving dried and itchy conditions.
Avocado Oil : again this oil is good for dry and itchy skin conditions.
Vitamin E : this can come as a liquid or in capsule form ( I am using the liquid form) and is a preservative , which can only be a good thing for the skin!!
Jojoba Oil: is a good oil to use if you have sensitive skin. It is also beneficial as it contains the vitamins A and B complex.
Glycerin : this is good for dry skin and also helps to smooth out the complexion.
Ingredients
Below I will list the ingredients that are required and also where I bought them from. The required amount for the cleanser recipe is also listed.
1. Sweet almond oil (Niassance) 20 mls
2. Aloe vera gel (Holland and Barrett) 50 grms
3. Wheatgerm oil (Holland and Barrett) 2 tsps
4. Jojoba oil (Fresh Skin) 55 mls
5. Avacado oil (G. Baldwins) 20 mls
6. Glycerin (Boots) 2 tsps
Method
1. Pour Jojoba, Avacado, Sweet almond and Wheatgerm oils into a pan. Gently warm over a low heat and at the same time heat the aloe and glycerin in another pan, stirring constantly till melted.
2. Remove and mix together. Put into pots or bottles of your choice. I purchased batches of squeezy tubes from Amazon to make it easier to get out. Just make sure to shake the mixture to combine, especially before use.
It's That Easy
So there you have it, a quick and easy DIY recipe for my lovely fresh, natural eye cleanser. I hope you find it as useful as much as my daughter and being all natural ingredients it should not irritate the skin.
Comment below and let me know if you make this recipe or have any other DIY recipes I am interested to learn new things.
Having used this product and also having seen it being made I can say that it works and that it is so simple it is well worth giving a go. Just Love it :) x
